Taylor's Trestle

     As mentioned in our home page, an effort is currently being made to restore Taylor's Trestle.  Although much time and work will be needed to restore this trestle, our engineers believe it is still salvageable.  Our vision is to use this great landmark as part of a rail trail that will run through York County along the Ma and Pa railroad bed.  

There are five major steps in the trestle restoration project.  They are: 

1. Encourage interested persons, municipalities and community leaders to get involved 
2. Survey land to determine ownership
3. Organize an engineering assessment to determine the scope, cost, and feasibility of the project
4. Organize and implement a funding effort, and secure in-kind donations
5. Complete the reconstruction and restoration of the trestle    

As we progress with the project, we will provide updates about how you can help support the restoration.
